My Missus bought a DVD yesterday, and although I thought it was gonna be a load of pish, it's actually really, really good!

Basically, a washed up director loses his leading lady (coz she's a bitch) and finds himself facing the road to ruin.
Que a mad computer bloke who says he's got a computer that can diditally create an actress, make her do whatever he wants, act like a godess, ect...

Director uses the computer, makes a film. Noone knows the lead is artificial, and everyone goes mental for her.

Director then spends his time making her as "real" as possible, at his own expense (he starts going mad)...

Basically, I'd SERIOUSLY suggest you rent / buy / steal / copy it and watch it, coz it's really hit the nail on the head of the whole "Digital vs FILM" debate that's always going on in here!

you should probably also mention that Al Pacino plays the film maker and its written by Andrew Niccol of the Truman show fame

I found this film to be lacking in most areas. A good idea (kinda) but nothing special. Pacino's fungi-infected fingernails look especially rank throughout. A distraction of Biblical proportions.

its a pacino so i watched it as always, i made a rule to watch all pacino films (kill me please or make him make good movies again), and it has a good premise, but damn, at some point about 45 minutes from the end someone just pressed the ramble button .it could have soooo much better, but its a film that mentions synthetic actors and as an actor/director im kinda glad it sucked, dont want people getting dumb ideas [img]smile.gif[/img] .
