I get sudden flashes of inspiration. When I get a flash, I start putting the pieces together. Usually there are multiple strings of ideas, and after that comes the creative process of putting them together. I have to make them make sense, do I not?

Two days ago I had this idea for a short which seemed cool to me, and last night when I couldnt sleep I started thinking about variations. And a new, more complete thing came out of it.

Only thing I need now is guns. And blood.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Welcome to my most oft quoted saying.

I used to get my inspiration doing my paper round. But I stopped doing it and I haven't written anything for months. So now I've got it back.

Either that or on the crapper.

I would recommend to anyone who wants to write is to buy a small notebook or sometind... that you can carry around with you. Ideas come from everyone and everything. It can be from a crooked sign post or a conversation you hear on the bus... a headline in a newspaper... anything.

When you see something that interests you... or sparks something... WRITE IT DOWN!!! Then you will have a small book filled with little quotes and feelings and messages which sparks stories when you sit down to write.

...also... I recommend the book 'The Writers Block' by Jason Rekulak... its a great little book FULL of random imagery and ideas which can spark loads of storylines...

For example... I just flicked through it now and the one I stopped on was...
"Write from the point-of-view of someone who committed a murder today. Do not mention the murder"
    See what I mean??
