Anyone seen this film.
It was made in the seventies, and stars Peter Fich and Faye Dunaway.
According to Paul Thomas Anderson(boogie nights, magnolia) it's one of the best scripts ever written.
Does anyone know if it's any good or not.

It's got some good moments, one in particular.
Been a while since I last watched it. Lumet made this and Serpico and Dog Day Afternoon, back when he said something to say. Of course that was a different era.
It's along the lines of All The President's Men and The Insider.

I don't care for any of Lumet's work, past or present.

Yeah, it won quite a few oscars.
Supposedly, Peter Finch only won the Best Actor oscar over De Niro for Taxi Driver because he died a few weeks before the votes were cast.
