What the fuck is it with him.
I read his filmography on IMDb and thought I neeeded a pinch here
He hasn't made a film since 1998.
He's hanging at home like a vulture, like impending retirement
What does he want?

I read somewhere recently that he'd become disillusioned with the business and the quality of parts he was being offered.
I believe he's taken time out to record a couple of music albums (???) and do other non-movie related stuff.
Still, it's a shame. But I'd rather he did nothing than do some of the shit he produced in the late Nineties.

Unlike Robert De Niro who seems to be on some sort of quest to happily retire with the following entry in the Guiness Book of World Records:

Like us actors have to put food on the table. To put food on the table means making money. making money means doing what they do best - acting. If bob is taking on roles to make money then so be it.i doubt any of u would turn down 10 million for a film role. U takes what u can get when u get it.

True, indeed, very true.
But someone like Bob with such a great history of classic film roles, it's a shame to see him in such crap films. We know it's the money and hell yes I'd take it- but we want him to take good roles (he can afford to turn down crap ones) and still make money.
I think he's overdue another gangster role- but NOT 'Analyse the Other'!!!

I'm fairly sure Robert De Niro isn't that short of money.
To quote Bill Hicks:
"You make a commercial, you're off the artistic roll call forever. I don't care if you shit Monets the rest of your career."

Maybe not himself but a lot of his money gets pumped into his film production company TRIBECA. Its also the reason he takes on so many roles, to fund his company.
