Hi Mara, Cherie, Katt, and Sandy. Hope the New York gig went well. I'm sure you blew them away. Hey, when are you coming to Westen Canada? It's so nice to have a Rocketcity message board. Optimal Impact is going great guns. Last weekend we opened for Warner recording artists The Black Halos and on Thursday we open for Canadian Music Hall of Famers, April Wine. I'm a little nervous about opening for a group with 15 certified Gold and Platinum albums. I loved these guys when I was in High School (about a million years ago). Keep up the great work all of you. You are all so talented!!!

    Hey Mike!
Good to hear from you! Sounds like you and your band have a lot of exciting things coming up and we wish you the best of success...you guys put out a very good record and I'm sure you'll wow 'em at the April Wine show!

Sandy & Cherie will be playing NYC next week, so no news to report on that yet, and Cherie will be playing in Eastern Canada (sorry!) in June, in Toronto.

For more chat on these gals, feel free to hop over to our Cherie Currie Message Board - accessible from her page.

    Keep Rockin'!

The April Wine opening gig went great!! You could not have fit another person in that room. Our frontman Johnny really got them screaming when he ran around the stage waving a Canadian flag and proclaiming that "we are Canadian", April Wine played for over two hours and really wowed the crowd with all the classic hits they played. What was really amazing is that drummer Jerry Mercer played the whole night using only his right arm. He had broken in left arm at a gig in Saskatoon the week before. He did more with that one arm than I can play with two. Their tour hits the US in June, so if you get a chance to see them, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for your words of encouragement Katt!! It means a lot.
