Two men are carrying a large window peine across a narrow road, when a truck comes speeding around the corner. The men are luckily positioned on opposite pavements, though the glass will inevitably smash, so they close their eyes and hope no-one will be hurt in the collision. Two seconds later, the men open their eyes and see the same truck still speeding down the road into the distance, yet the window peine is remarkably still in tact. There was only one truck, and no possibility of swerving to avoid the peine at such a speed. Why didn't the glass smash? The answer will surprise you.
I'm baffled as to what the answer is...

Are there any more given facts? Perhaps the peine had a secret sensor on it, if it is so big it has to be carried across the left to right of the road, that makes it open in the middle when something comes toward it. Or perhaps as the men had their eyes closed the truck saw this large peine and stoped, went back and took a diversion and ended up on the same road as it was going on to avoid smashing. I'm out of ideas now. Is there actually an answer?

I reckon thats it.....However they are walking not facing the glass, so how would they see a mirror image?

Also, its hard to turn around on a normal road in a truck. And if it reversed it would do a "beep....beep...beep" noise so the guys would notice it....however if I was the truck driver I would go through it cos it would be fun....

The only people who actually hold great big pieces of glass are mime artists. So that's the answer. There was no glass, they were just mimes
