how can you listen to that electronic shit, it's got no soul. i like musicians who can play their instruments instead of letting computers write all the music. i went round my mate's house, he was making some "tunes" on his computer and it's fucking easy, anyone could do it. all the drums and stuff are already done for you. if i wanted to listen to crap like that i'd buy a fucking gameboy. a black & white one.
if you look at all the best music since the dawn of time, it's been the stuff with good lyrics that has been remembered.

You have a mighty lot to learn about the world of electronica. What you said shows extreme lack of insight and research. Do you even know the first thing about "letting your computer write the music"?

I agree with 3speed, 'Electronica' is a very complex medium. Kraftwerk are not really the best example but they most recognised in their field. You should try stuff with a bit more of a commercial vibe to it like 'Moby'. For a chill-out session listen to anything by 'bjork' or 'Massive Attack'. If you're into hip-hop try 'DJ-Shadow'...... All of these artists aren't just "One geek with a comuter", they are bands and can back up their music with amazing live performances. These bands create very ambient music that revolves mainly around a powerful bass line, they fall into the class of 'Electronica' or 'Dance' music because they use pre-recorded, man-made drum loops and great deal of samples. Next time you mock, just make sure you know what you're on about.
P.S 3speed, who are you? You seem quite a decent bloke(you could be female but i make assumptions) if you exist in the mortal realm then i'd rather like to be your chum.

I am Ben Hunter, Big Joe's little brother. Who are you?
I am off to the gig tonight at the Spider's Web.
You reminded me that I have a Bjork album (Homogenic) that I haven't even listened to it yet! I bought it the day Lord of the Rings came out. I loved Selmasongs, I hope this album is as good or even better (I hear it is).
