any experiences of racks? im thinking of getting just the front bit - probably this one - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

..but wondered especially how heavy they are? is it worth it? i just dont like mounting my toms off cymbal stands that much - i would prefer something more solid.

    any thoughts?

    thanks.

I am very happy with this Pearl rack but it is always in a flightcase in the truck. It is quite heavy, so if you bring your own set and have collected all the hardware in one case you will finally end up On the other hand, once you are set up, you are happy because nothing is moving at all. I have purchased an old Porcaro rack also. I shortened it in length and use it for the smaller gigs. Two racks one floor. I even let the booms on during transport (stationwagon) but it takes a guitarplayer to take it out and inside.
