I'm trying to get hold of Joe Porcaro's Drum Set Method book. Anyone know where I might be able to get a copy online? Or who published it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes I did study with Joe and we were the first to run thru his book.
His website is indeed down at the moment.
Joe and Ralph left MI to head up the percussion department at LAMA and that's where I would say you could get his book since his personal site is down.

Just tried LAMA- nice site but I dont think they sell the books online, couldn't even find an e-mail address for the LAMA bookshop Aaaaaargghhh!

I'm sure Joe's own site will return soon...

WHOA WHOA WHOA... cool your retro rockets.

I talked to someone at the sculpting studio last week and they were just working on the base color combinations for reborn 2... most of the detail colors were still in their heads.

Half of the Conan stuff has been sculpted, but again, they can't show you stuff that hasn't even been done yet.

They're also doing design work on Spawn 26, but alot of the decisions have yet to be approved... so getting MAD isn't helpful or constructive.

What they do appreciate is constructive feed back such as....

"The Blue and Gold is what really makes the MOOD of this pic so cool... we have lots of red and black spawns... please consider this a vote FOR replicating the cover colors like you've done so well in the past with the Hellspawn figures"



THIS is the kind of positive feedback that get's their attention... the other kind just makes them ignore you. [img]wink.gif[/img]

So, basically you are saying that you are so dillusional that you think you deserve direct contact to the company in the time frame that you expect?

Look, we have all been told that they would be putting up pictures when they get closer to the release of the figures. Some (and especially Conan) of the lines are not even farther along than preliminary drawings or sculpts. When they get something to show, they will update the information.

Get over it. It isn't going to be there until it is ready, and constantly e-mailing the mods over on the whiteboard about something they have stated numerous times is going to do nothing. Except put you on their radar as a trouble maker.

Oh yeah, and I think you are trying a bit to hard.
