You know, I have to admit that I'm a little baffled as to why Dave isn't talked about very much at all on this site. I watch the few clips that were posted here a while back all the time, and he not only has some serious chops with amazing cleanliness, but a WONDERFUL pocket. Does anyone here have any recordings with him on it? If so, how does he sound in the studio? If you all have those two video clips that were available on his thread a while back, pull them up and watch them again. Judging strictly from those clips and various other audio-only clips, there is no question (in my mind) that he's RIGHT up there with the big boys.....period. Of course....that's just my opinion.......I could be wrong! [img]wink.gif[/img]

Dave is a terrific player! Just has been unknown but is starting to come out of the dark, and good for him he is VERY VERY good. I like Mike Mangini and Marco and Lang even more but I dig Dave EVEN more! not as advanced IMO but he sure has great technique and chops and I like his sense of creativity and taste quite abit more. But that is just my taste. Alot of killer drummers out there for sure.

I was just kind of wondering to myself why we don't really talk about what he's up to (etc..) and stuff since we do that with the standard guys here. I am of the opinion that he should be a "standard guy" (if you will). I guess the main reason would probably be that he's not really in a location that would make him accessible to readily available information. See what I'm saying? That, and I've never really heard about him being on any records, except for the ones listed on his site and such. Anyway, I'm just babbling, so feel free to ignore. I just think that (judging from what I've seen and heard) he's WAY underrated.

He's one of my fav's and is definitely on my short list of top players. He's by far the best and most musical drummer at metric mod's I've heard.
