Okay guys and girls,
My first question to all you great drummers goes like this -
My problem is that occasionally, when playing fairly fast 16ths on my double pedal, my feet tend to spaz out. Thus, I can't seem to get the control needed to maintain a nice, smooth flow of notes.
Any advice on helping me overcome this annoyance. I'm sure it boils down to a lot of woodshedding but any specifics would be super duper!!
Oh, my pic didn't quite work out, it's all pixellated! Looking back on it, I should have donned my fake goatee and done my best impression of steve holmes! - "..don't hurt anyone with the blush-da!"

Try not to go too fast too quickly, work on the tempo a little below your 'spaz'zing tantrum and you can work the muscles blah blah, catch my drift?!

Indeed.
Find the tempo right below the loss of control point and keep it there. I mean keep it there for a while without stopping for 10 minutes or so.
Also are you playing any other subdivisions like 16th note triplets, or 32nd's at a slow tempo maybe (just think sixteenths but play a half time groove on top).
Virgil's Power Drumming vid has some cool DB exercises.

Steve's advice above is about the best advice
that you could possibly receive and not just
on quicker double-kicking but just about any-
thing in life.
When I said "double-stroke", I meant for very
high-speed stuff:

Speed is something that comes naturally from
control but it doesn't work the other way
around, unfortunately and many get stuck
on that.

No, I'm Peter Corona.
Peter Criss was a fine rock-drummer
with Kiss, one of the great metal bands.
