Hey Peter-

I actually just got a chance to jam with Dean Cortez a few weeks ago, right before the fires broke out. He lives in the mountains near my house, so he might still be displaced. But, when I contact him again, I will ask him if he has anything that he might like to "donate" as it were [img]smile.gif[/img]

I just replied about the "Tony" file actually. I am going to try that after I log out. Thanks a lot for the attempt, even if I can't pull it down.

As for Dean, I do not think that he lost his house. He lives just out of Lake Arrowhead proper. That area was not affected, but, as I drove by the freeway which goes up there, there was about 2 miles of cars lined up just to be escorted up! I am not sure if he is even trying to get back. I think that he is staying with his brother Jody, out in L.A. (Jody is a great drummer by the way. He was featured in MD a few months back as he just put out a drum sampler.)

When I get the chance, I will ask if he has anything. I will PM you when I do.

Yes, Pete, I have 3 albums from them (I've got them in the 70's). Two with Carlos Vega and the last one with Alex Acuna. That was the first time I heard Carlos, excellent band.
