I just checked out all the tracks on Steve Hass' "Traveler" . His debut CD.
This is really one heck of a CD. Not a lot of blowing, hardly any, but some really great music, and Steve really shines as a producer here. The grooves are beautiful, and the tunes go from funky fusion in 13, to folk, shuffles and latin in 5.
If you haven't checked it out , I highly recommend it.
If you have time, the CD site is a must see

yes you're right, it's quite a piece of work. Wouldn't expect something like that from a drummers CD. I picked one up recently and it's been in my CD player for days whether I want drumistic inspiration or whether I'm with my man or family.
I heard Vinnies CD is kind of like that. Can anyone shed some light on that? I haven't been able to find it. You know, his debut with the black cover on GRP. I've seen it in some friends collections, but I'd like my own copy.
