I've done a slightly different review on here than on the FC board as there's things I can mention here that I can't there!

It was an awesome day, we got to Ipswich no probs then took an hour and a half to find our hotel car park, then booked into the hotel which was the biggest shithole going. It was all very nice in reception, untill we got to our rooms, which were disgusting, wallpaper peeling off, mildew around the bath, a rattly old sash window, which very nearly came crashing down on my head when I was hanging out having a fag as the room was non smoking. So I was leaning out the window, fag in one hand and trying to prop the window open with the other..... and the room smelled disgusting too, but we thought seeing as we were only there for the night and would probably be blind drunk by the time we got back later, we wouldn't notice what a state it was!!

So we managed to blag our way into a second soundcheck as Darren wasn't supposed to be appearing, so they said that anyone could go in,... but he ended up coming out and singing a bit of SR, then stoppped at the co-op on the way back to the hotel and bumped into Leonie, then went and got glammed up and covered in glitter to within an inch of our lives!!!

The show was great considering he's been poorly, you could tell his voice wasn't 100% but he held out pretty well and there was a great atmosphere where it was the last night.We ran out of our seats ( as everyone else did) when he came out and namaged to get right in front of the stage which was good and had a fab view.

It was a shame when it was all over as this tour has gone by far too quickly and there were a few fans who literally collapsed into sobbing heaps, near hysterical that it was all over......I dare say you can imagine what it was like to witness that spectacle!!!!! [img]eek.gif[/img]

We had a nose round the back afterwards and Darren came out signing autographs and signed my tour booklet, whihc I was chuffed about. It was a bloody crush round there and there were a few fuckwits that just barged their way past everyone, bowling over small kids in the process, in their quest to get nearer to Darren, which was bloody inconsiderate, but then what else do we expect from them....

Anyway, went back to the hotel afterwards for a drink and a giggle, totally knackered but we really enjoyed it.

Also learnt a few things about fan politics and what goes on behind the scenes... which I should have been shocked abut but wasn't!!!

A few thoughts from moi [img]wink.gif[/img]

Firstly this:

*eewwwww* @ your hotel room. That sounds bloody disgusting and I'd deffo have complained if I were you, cheap or not! *remembers the scabby fridge we once had in Boggy* [img]eek.gif[/img] LOL

Now, as for this:

psst - that light in his trousers reminds me of the vid by Electric 6 where the young(ish) guy is snogging that old bird and his crotch lights up! Perhaps D is thinking about some old sort that he knows! *wink* LMAO

I agree with Terry in that I would have complained about the terrible state of your hotel room and I hope you didn't have to pay too much for it.

I daren't complain about the hotel and I'm scared they will be funny and bill me for the amount of glitter we left covering the room, so going to call it quits!!
