I'm not exactly sure how to pose the question but I'll give it a shot.
What do you think about people who make a big deal (ie making thread) out of the fact that they're leaving the Darren Hayes community and a week, 2 weeks or even a month later they're back.

I think they're overobsessive attention mongers. And should never be given attention. Maybe then they'd go out and get real lives.
edit: this is not meant to be overly mean. It's just my opinion. And I'm annoyed with seeing it over and over again at the other board.

If they say 'I'm leaving, that's it' and come back two days later, I see them as attention seekers. We all know who they are
But if someone says 'I need a break from the board', I look at it a bit differently, b/c they know they'll come back, they just don't know when so I don't put any time limitations there.
*hopes that makes sense*

Agrees with Ivana.
I have needed breaks from the boards at times.

I too agree with Ivana and I'll add that if they say that they're leaving for good and then they do come back, they should be either a) horsewhipped b) not allowed to post for at least 3 months or c) ignored by me. I choose option c b/c that's what I usually do anyway LOL
Seriously though, why announce it anyway? Ppl are rarely missed when they do leave and most ppl don't even notice when they've gone!

I agree with Ivana
Attention seeking.
and I think I would add that if they are seeking attention from people on a message board they should get a bit more of a real life. I really think its a place to come and have a few laughs and chat with some good friends.
sorry if that sounds harsh.

I agree with Terry except that I'd hunt them down and shoot them

Agrees with all that ^^^ It's sometimes nice to have a little break now and then if you start to get stressed by anything on the boards and get a bit of perspective back. I don't think anyone should live on these boards 24/7 - you need to have a life away from them too

Good points but the person I'm talking about made a post on the fc board that she wasn't into the type of music Darren was doing now and she was leaving *blah*
And also a certain who's told me on a number (3-5 times) of occasions that he's not coming back and he's still here. *rolls eyes*
