I agree Lain, subtle perving is good fun, and it has always been something that I thought the dhbbs was pretty good at - but not as of late. Lately I am disgusted, for lack of a better word although I think I will find one, with what I see.

I think 3 issues stand out for me; 1 being that this is an OFFICIAL BBS; 2 being that the comments border, and sometimes cross over, total disrespectfulness to not only Darren but to fellow fans; and 3 being that there are CHILDREN on this board.

Of course I am aware that a 13 year old is not dumb and that at 13 I more than likely knew more about sex than my parents did, LOL, but that does not mean we need to promote it or be responsible for educating them and in actuality MIS-educating them. Okay... better go take a drink! LOL I'm getting all excited here.

I'm really disgusted with Dyan [img]frown.gif[/img] She's either pretending to be an idiot or she doesn't care. How can she say the line isn't clear? She's an adult, she should know better.

And I have no intention of PM'ing her, it's her job to look at the threads and react, not mine.

You know what I was thinking? She wants PMIng? I'm going to give it to her! She says no one says a peep about those threads... I am going to make sure she hears far more than just a peep. She wants to know how people feel? I'll be making damn sure she does.

Don't waste your time Laurie - I've been PM'ing her and she's being deliberately obtuse. In the end I told her that, as she's a moderator of a board, her own personal likes and dislikes should not cloud her judgement. Needless to say, I was told that I was accusing her of bias!!! WHat I was in fact saying was that it shouldn't matter whether or not she pervs with the others, she should moderate the board properly and that means listening to ALL of it's members, not just her faves [img]frown.gif[/img]

She IS bias!!! Any fool can see that.

Totally agree Terry. Her opinion... should not matter. What matters is the thoughts, feelings, expressions of every single individual on that board.

I have read and re-read those threads and I have looked for any indications that people who felt "Pervy Threads" were being listened to.. and I see none of that. And even moreso, I see that Ema, a Mod herself, agreed that the perving was too descript, too over the line, yet she was ignored. [img]frown.gif[/img]

Maybe it's time to take concerns directly to Sony and bypass the moderators!

The supporters of the *graphic perving*
are a minority from what I can see!

I did actually post in the thread last night that maybe it was time to revisit Darren on this issue.

What they dont seem to understand is mamy people disagreeing with the graphic porn thread are actually members or moderators of lists especially designed for fanfics of a very risque nature. That stuff is just kept to those BBS's or mailing lists or sites. The OFFICIAL bbs is not the place for it.

Also as for Darren stating he didnt mind it, He did make a statement somewhat to the effect as long as it didnt get Pornographic. Well alot of people feel that it has crossed that line there. As a fan board it is really about what the *fans* think is appropriate.

THe mods do have to put aside there own opinions and moderate for the community not for what they themselves feel. People were telling Dyan things had gone too far and she just wasnt listening!
