A sabbatical would be a great thing, if I could afford it. In my area of work we can't take paid sabbaticals, so unless I can financially manage it (which I can't), I can't take one.
I do have a ton of holiday time coming to me still (about a month's worth or so), so I may take it all off and just re-think things.
It could just be one of those "I don't like my job" moments that will pass in time. I think everyone experiences them at some point. I've felt it before, but just not to this same degree. This time it feels very different. I think I have just developed different interests and now enjoy different things and those things aren't quite meshing with my current career as a counsellor. I'm not sure how to combine all of that into a new career, but I am thinking long and hard about it.

I too am having to think long and hard about my next step b/c my contract finishes in 10 weeks. The time has really flown by. I'm not sure if I want to stay at that school (the journey is an utter bitch) but I deffo want to carry on doing the same sort of work. [img]smile.gif[/img]

^^ I hope so Laurie. There're about 5 or 6 Primary (Elementary) schools within walking distance from my house so it'd be great if I could snag a job at one of those. *crosses fingers* [img]smile.gif[/img]
