Thanks for the link Ann and I agree it's a beautiful version of the song, the kind of version I had patiently waited to hear.
I do love the acoustic versions of the album so much - and that was no exception. I loved the way that he changed the tense, from present to past, eg 'you made me feel' rather than 'you make me feel', to show that the dreadful times have past, and the raw feelings are dulling. In some ways I think the stripped back version has a different emotional intensity, more poignant than the anger in the original. The use of the piano is gorgeous.
