HEHEHEHE! Ok, I'm going to chime in my 2 cents on the whole Hawkeye thing!
Yes I am a M*A*S*H fanatic, and I DO tend to spout off much like Hawk, Chrys and I tend to berate people alot like the boys in the swamp berating Frank Burns, then they did it to Winchester. I also have a medical background, and to tell you the truth, sometimes the music industry tends to be a bit like a war. So, being in the position I am in, I am much like a chief surgeon, who wishes things could be differently, and everyone could all just get along!
If I went in to all the things I do ( Not just this website) but all of the other bands, merchandising, books, etc, It does tend to be like a war zome sometimes. I try to keep my sense of humor, it's a wonder that I don't have a gin distillery in my office!
Honestly, I think M*A*S*H is a very good euphamisim for the music industry at times, and that's why I chose the theme. I love what I do, sometimes I do not love the way it is done or the circumstances behind things.
Still waiting for the cease fire......

If I think I'm crazy it is not true.
If I'm really crazy I won't think so.
Catch 22
I am crazy about therunaways.com though Hawkeye
even though it IS true.
Whatever that means!

OK Hawk or anyone else:
Henry Blake or Sherm Potter?
Frank Burns or Charles Winchester?
All Characters are distinctly different.
Frank was just a bumbling weasel he made a great nemesis of Hawk/trapper/BJ. Charles was a better surgeon and his pompousity was second to none. But for me it's Frank Burns.
Blake vs. Potter is a draw. I loved them both.

The way the characters came and went was not un-like real life. You develope a liking for someone.
They move on. Someone else comes along. You get to liking them then, too.
In a different way but just as much.
The show pulled it off so well that I really can't choose one character over the other.
Blake, Potter, Burns, Winchester were all great characters in their own way.
I did like the Mike Farrell period better though because I think Wayne Rogers is a bad actor.
Klinger was always good comic relief and Radar was cool too.

Police Story was great.
Who would have thought such a serious actor could ACT so goofy?

my 2 cents!
I LOVE Winchester, esp when he would leave the room and say, "Gentlemen" Burns was an idiot, but great comic relief. Hunnicutt and Hawk had something really special, as was seen on the final 2 hour "Goodbye"
As far as CO's go, my vote is for Potter, there had to be some "Regular Army" in there somewhere, but the way he yelled at people was just the best!
One of my fave episodes is when Klinger's girlfriend writes him to accept his proposal and he runs through the field in that fabulous sun dress with the hat! Now that, is priceless!
Sometimes I feel the need to call in Sidney Freedman!
Poker game anyone?
