Cherie Performs on 103.1

Cherie Currie and her 13 year old son Jake Hayes performed three songs just a few minutes ago on indy 103.1.
Jake and host Steve Jones (ex-Sex Pistol) played acoustic guitars as Cherie sang Cherry Bomb, American Nights and a song written by Jake. It was an awesome show.
It is streamed at this link http://www.indie1031.fm/ks I think it is rebroacast tonight but I don't know when.

Thanks for that news item. I didn't get the chance to listen to the show. Steve Jones' connection to The Runaways goes way back. He played with the band in 1978 and he wrote the tune "Black Leather." Now, this year alone he has performed with both Cherie (2-4-05) and Joan (1-5-05).

Unfortunately my tape stopped in the middle of American Nights. Cherie and Jake both sounded very comfortable in front of the mic.

I only got the first 45 minutes of Cherie's and Jake's appearance on tape and it was recorded on a little portable cassette deck with a built in microphone so you can imagine the sound quality.

I was just happy to be able to hear it at all. Thanks again for finding the link with the streaming audio ellanoize!
