This beautiful Father's Day morning (sunny and hot in NYC) I was listening to "Gettin' Hot" off "Live in Japan". The lead guitar never ceases to AMAZE me in this particular song. Even more so as Lita was about 17 or 18 (isn't she the oldest?) which is wild. Her name doesn't seem to pop up here very often, probably as her post-Runaways stuff was so (I think, anyway) drastically different from her Runaways career. Not to mention that i've been playing guitar since i was 7, and i'm now 34 and can barely play the lead to "Little Sister", which if you all recall is as simple as it gets! There barely is any lead in that song! I just wanted to share the love! She really rocks.

Live in Japan ...really showed off the girls talents, to bad for the press/media for not opening up thier eyes to see the skills they had at such a young age
IMO they ALL rocked
they need to be into the Rock an Roll Hall of Fame...

Live In Japan is one of my favorites, I never get tired of listening to it. It still sounds so fresh it's amazing.

I have been snooping around cyberspace today and have noticed a new Lita Cd advertisement. "In Concert", is this the same as her "Live" CD from a couple of years ago, or is this something new from her? It is listed in Amazon as being available this July. Any insider knowledge?
