id agree, the lyrics do seem somewhat slapped together...like other songs mike writes and plays live for a while before we actually hear a recorded version. it seems like he was going for another tune like nickels & dimes (not a bad thing, cause thats a great tune.) but this one is pleasing as well. but does come across as slapped together.

I really enjoy the song, but some of the lyrics seem thrown together. "Smiling through your teeth, and talking out your neck, every chance you get you're gonna stab my back." I don't know... that's the only section I really have a problem with.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">i agree, it does seem thrown together, but it also feels like some of the lyrics are radio edits. it seems like it should be talking out your ass, and the talking trash bit would be talking shit. i don't know, just a thought. the phrasing seems a little awkward

is it the final edit, that's going to be released? i haven't seen anythng on the website announcing that kroq is playing the new song, so probably it's something like an early recording with lyrics still in progress that somehow found its way to the radio station.

but nevertheless it's a great catchy sxdx tune, i like the presence of the bass guitar in some parts. but on the other hand the song also shows that chuck biscuits WAS the best drummer the band ever had.

Great Tune! I just wish the background vocals were a little louder like on SL&RR...

I'm thinking that is the final edit. It is kinda strange they don't say anything about the song on the website.

I don't care about the drums.. we don't have a studio record with Chuck so we can't compare and hey, Charlie is a good drummer.
But wth happened with the guitars
What I wanna know is if Webb was responsible for the popstyle parts, which we will never hear live. He is the guy who worked for Sum41
He did a good job for Mot?rhead but they aren't Social D. Lemmy and the guys have this nice wall of sound but this isn't 20years of social d style...

Is "far behind" dedicated to John?
