On the SD website, Paint it Black is listed on one of the early bootleg albums. I've never heard it live, and the bootleg traders know much better than I if it was ever played live.

I came across this cover tonight: on the right column, there's a cover of "All Over Now." it's pretty good, but only about 40 seconds long. any other specials fans on here? probably one of the first "real" bands i started listening to. my dad came home one day in 5th grade with the singles collection and i was hooked! haha.

also, a while ago, there was a thread about songs that Social D should cover, and i think that The Specials would be right up their alley. songs like Gangsters and Guns of Navarrone could be done in the same way that Guns of Brixton and The Harder They Come were played.

Let's not forget them covering the Stones, "The Last Time" a few years back which is one one my favorite Stones songs of all time. I would love to hear them cover this on on record. It's perfect for them with all vocal harmonies and the guitar leads. I still am waiting to hear "Backstreet Girl" live....
