with that said, this will be my last post on the thread. like mykbyk95 said, it's going around in circles, especially discussing these topics online.

There is plenty of anti American sentiment which is being spoonfed to the masses by the media every day as well. Does this mean you aren't thinking for yourself either?

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">ha! all the same guys who have shows that are airing re-runs...why? because they're writers are on strike. not so smart without their writers are they?!

back to my original point: bush rode in to the white house on the conservative vote. i'm no bush backer, but i voted for him--lesser of 2 evils. what has he done that is conservative? he's the same as clinton--letting in billions of people from krapistan and the turd world filled with diseases that drive up the cost of our health insurance. how are bush's policies conservative at all?! he's calling for amnesty for illegals--again, a leftist move.
obama= an invention to make hillary appear centrist, when we all know that she's as anti-american as all people. all this "it takes a village to raise a child gibberish." that's socialism right there; it doesn't take a village, it takes a mother and a father!

yes, i realize that the "they're all the same, just have to find the less evil" argument is boring. but seriously, the media is hopping this up so they can get away from not discussing the real issues, such as islamo-fascism.

terk, i didn't say that people without a high school diploma shouldn't vote. what i said was--someone without a diploma shouldn't try to tell me how to vote. big difference. i'm all for voting.

but hey, this is a social distortion board. let's keep it that way.

I really can't overly bash or support any given leader due to the fact that you need to have a government clearance in order to even know what you are talking about.

yall go on and do your "research" and vote for who you think is "best". I'd just be interested in your sources for your research and what "your guy" actually does once he or she is elected.

I'll probably vote and give my opinion, but like 99% of Americans my opinion will be just that....factless opinion that could hurt more than help. I guess thats what it takes to be able to "bitch"....you gotta be kidding me.

"It takes a village to raise a child" is not socialist. Contact and interaction within a community is certainly an agent of socialization, but is not inherently "socialist" as you stated. Please go read.

Illegals are merely a minor (very minor) factor in the rise in health care costs. Go read and take an economics class. Look up inelastic demand.

You have to be a flaming retard to believe that. It's amazing how people actually go out of their way to be uninformed. Fucking amazing.

I've got to support both two drinks and the "their all the same" guys on this one.

Two Drinks is right, there's vast ideological differences - but that's all it is. Rhetoric - they don't actually live up to their ideology. In what they do they are exactly the same and it's why I still would support Bush over Kerry. Kerry wouldn't have ended the war, he'd spend just as much, he'd put bigger restrictions on what I can do with my own money for retirement and would try to push national healthcare.

Ron Paul IS different because he has ten terms in Congress showing that he DOES live up to his own standards. He has the most consistent/conservative voting record ever. Many times when he votes against legislation it is 421-1, him being the only one. He's not afraid to stand up to his principle and he's proven it time and time again even when it isn't popular.

He by far, is not your ordinary politican. Hell he's not even a politician, he's a true statesman.
