yea, that song definitely inspired Ball and Chain. exact same Chord progression. The verses are practically the same if it wasnt for the different lyrics. I loved the video with the allstar cast.
This is off topic, but not much going on lately and thought some would enjoy it. If I have to tie this to Social Distortion, this is the Stones song that people think Ball and Chain borrows from.

But guys you have to understand that the chord progression for ball and chain is one of the simplest in rock music. Like, the comparisions to any number of songs are going to be large because it's so simple. It's just like the majority of social d songs. Simple chord progressions mean they're likely to show up in many songs. D, A, G, the first threee chords a person learns in guitar. Enough said.
Speaking of rolling stones and Social D, I'll post a video of a song that I absolutely love.

Has anyone else heard the version with Mike and Eddie Vedder?
hey love pain, i understand your point. But heres my point, Aside from the lyrics, its practically the same song. the strumming pattern, the little guitar solo at the beginning, and defenitely the vocal melody. Its really no big deal, im just pointing out that this song was CLEARLY and inspiration for ball and chain.
