Social D. prior to the new lineup - You were not missing much. They were okay live during the WLWHWT Tour. Ness was doing his growling, instead of singing and they played the SAME setlist all the time. That is where they got the bad repuation for the same exact show after show came from. Maurer was the only back-up vocalist. Biscuits played one style throughout the entire set... Social Distortion back then does not even compare to how they perform now. That's why Ness is so stoked on this new record and lineup. Because he finally has a band that can out do any other band!!!

Danny is great and a good addition, but I've still my probs with the clean sound of sex love and r'n'r. They've put some amp noise into some songs but the playing, also mike's voice is too cleanly. Social D should sound dirty and not like a "normal" rockband. White light has simple titles, typical punk style power chord mixtures but the album sounds 'alive' that's what I'm missing. But on stage, they are still my fav. especially with Danny.

Every record and very song is classic. That?s a fact!
And very record sounds different to each other. That?s why it makes Social D. so unique and awesome. Let us enjoy that we have such variety of songs incl. the solo songs.
--------------------------------
War on the terraces is a soccer hooligan song wich was first performed
bye the Cockney Rejects in 1980. So it has nothing to do with ?Stones?. Just a joke.
Will check the Stones songs on Youtube . Did you hear Melanie?s version of Ruby Tuesday? Its really great too.

Melanie starts at the end of the 60's as folksing/songwriter.Maybe a little bit like Janis Joplin or Marianne Faithfull.Faithfull was for a while Mick Jaggers girlfriend. He's written with Keith Richards together "As tears go by" for her.
