has anyone ever had the chance to seem the Sonics live? maybe if you're old enough and saw them in the sixties or happened to chatch them at their re-union show in NY last year?
I saw them last weekend in belgium, and I have to say, that was the GREATEST rock'n'roll show I ever saw and most probably ever will see.
like a concert nerd I was waiting in the front row of the stage for like an hour at least and I ended up standing in front of Gerry Roslie, who wrote some of the greatest songs in rock'n'roll history ever.
honestly I'm at a loss to describe what it was like. it was THE rock'n'roll experience. not much going on stage, except for the drummer kicking over the drumset "The Who-style" after the last song, but it didn't matter at all! So much energy I have never seen before, I don't think I ever will. I even might consider quitting going to shows from now on (no, I'm kidding on that one).

So if you happen to get the chance to still see them, even if you don't know the band (shame on you!) like my buddy who came along, you HAVE to, because if you don't, and then Gerry dies one day (he's living with a transplant heart and has to take tons of medics), you'll most probably bite your own ass when you see a video of their shows.

f@ck! i wish i could see them, one of my fav bands....did u get any footage? theres a great show happening here in hollywood, called mondo hollywood, the electic prunes and the morlocks are performing....its gonna kick!
