I have yet to see you come up with any sort of argument.

DMB rocks. Hello Again kicks the ass of every song on the new SD album, hands down.

</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Wow, you are an egotistical little fuck! You said, "DMB does suck," indicating that it is a fact. You then said you don't have to have an argument for why they suck, you just think they do. So your logic is that if you think something is so, it is. Great job.

To Angels Wings and The King,

The fact that I spelled two words wrong does not make me a hypocrite for calling you out on your stupidity and ignorance. The irony of those words that were spelled wrong has not escaped me, but it probably has escaped you.

    Fucking brilliant.

Oh and by the way, DMB is better live than SxDx. Proven fact.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">I disagree and I have seen DMB. However, I've never seen DMB in a 1000 person venue, so ya never know.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Yeah, you've proven how stupid I am with exactly what? Oh yeah, you haven't. I've pointed out many examples as to why you're so off-base with everything you've said about DMB being "better." It's laughable that you honestly can sit there and call me ignorant, yet you judge music on how complicated it is to play. You have no soul. You have no feeling.

Yes, of course the irony escaped me. I mean, it isn't as if I pointed it out in the first place or anything. Way to go, champ. You're the walking embodiment of irony. How's that working out for you?

So what, the album is mostly in common time (or cut time, however you wanna look at it.) I listen to music of all time signatures. You should too. You should know that music is not revolved around the technics.

I can understand, read, and play all time signatures. I understand complicated music. Ive marched in DCI playing complicted music, and tought complicated music for a living. So point being, your not the only one who has a clue about the tech side of music, and you should never cap your music library to only contain music of a certian difficulty level. Its your own loss.

So dont be a baised fuck. You should judge what music you like by its sound, emotion, what it stands for, and what its meaning is to you. How much black is on the page is rather irrelevant(to a point).
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Great post. I completely agree with this. I don't judge music by its complexity. That's why I'm here. I understand the emotion behind the words Ness sings now and the words he sung back in 1983. That is why I like the band. I was not saying that Social Distortion's music is bad because it is simple. I was, however, saying that music that is more complicated is not always boring. If people on here think that DMB is boring, I have no idea what they think of classical music, jazz, or latin music. Don't get me wrong, I like Social D. I am not a musical elitist. I was trying to say that people on here thought that DMB was boring because they didn't quite understand it. I know that complex music isn't neccesarily great if it is complex. Some of the best music of all time is in common time. For those that are attempting to say that DMB's music has no emotion and that is all just about frat boys assfucking, you are sorely mistaken. A great example of this would be the song "Dreamed I killed God" about the loss of his sister, Anne. The supposed story is that Anne was killed by her husband who then took his own life, leaving Dave to help raise her children. The agony and pain in this song is amazing. Another example would be "Best of What's Around" which is basically "Reach for the Sky" (i.e. Carpe Diem) except that it was written 10 years earlier.

Before I digress, I want to say that I completely agree with what you say and don't want anyone to think I don't like Social D. I just like DMB too. I can understand if you don't, I really can. Just don't try to tell me its bad music without even attempting to understand it. Furthermore, I hope neither your post nor mine is deemed irrelevant by people with no grasp for the English language for a few spelling errors.

On another note, who in the fucking bloody hell ever pretended that Mike Ness was a fucking poet? He isn't Sylvia Plath, you sanctimonious sycophant. And the last time I checked, Dave Matthews wasn't either. Do you know what the difference between Ness and Matthews is? Connection. Dave Matthews writes beer and lifestyle music. Mike Ness writes songs about things that actually matter.

If I didn't know better, I'd feel really bad for you.
