<font size="4" face="Arial">There was a discussion about Billy in old Hanoi- board, where lots of people had heard that he was dead, but if my memory serves me right, there was a guy who somehow knew him, and said that he is still alive.Originally posted by Carl I.:
Decent band with good music and a TERRIBLE vocalist. Billy was horrible on this stuff, worse on Shooting Gallery, and actually really good with Slum Lords. The guy just needed the right project to fit his voice into.
The Shooting Gallery that was released was not the same one that got signed, if memory serves. I believe it was another case of the band going through many changes due to...ummm...drugs.
Billy passed away a few years ago, right? I'm pretty sure he did.
Shooting Gallery was horrible, yes. But about it being different band when signing- I haven?t heard about that. Any idea who was with then? I remember that they at least changed their name from Machine Gun Rodeo to SG. Or at least some Andy?s band did at that time.
But still, LA Shooting Gallery were champs comparing to Shooting Gallery that Andy formed when he moved to Finland. Or actually, his manager formed. It sounded like some really shitty schoolband playing for the first time. The singer couldn?t sing at all (even when comparing to Billy!)- Andy fired him quite quickly.
Remembering it still gives me creeps.
Wasn't there a Dogs D'amour member in Shooting Gallery before the album? If memory serves me correct it was Jo and he was also in the vid they did for `House Of Ecstacy`. I could be wrong though... my memory these days is like a fish.
Also... I quite liked the Shooting Gallery album.
I have the Shooting Gallery album on cd which I bought out in LA a good few years ago. Was nt that impressed with it though. I'll have to copy to MP3 if anyone wants it?
I already still have the CD of that Shooting Gallery album. I play it quite a bit still even.
Btw Andy... thanks a million for sending out all the mp3s!!! Good stuff!
I'm with Andii - I quite liked the Shooting Gallery cd.
