Don't know if this will help but...
my shoes are size 7 1/2 american and the tag says UK size is 5. Soooo I asume that an 11 UK would be Huge in american size!

Yeah, UK shoe sizes are generally in the range 3-8 for women and 6-11 for men. So 11 is at the top end of the men's range, but not quite Krusty the Clown size.
