We were involved in a car accident on saturday afternoon. We were stationary at a set of lights. We were at the front of the queue waiting for the lights to change from red. I was distracted by our daughter crying in the back of the car and glanced round at her and back again at lights. Thinking they had changed I moved forward by about the cars length and then realised that the lights were still on red. Stopped the car and then there was a gap of a few seconds before a minibus hit us from behind, knocking myself and my wife, Panee forward in our seats. Our 21 month old daughter was in the back and the car seat seemed to protect her.
We were pretty shook up by it and after going to my mum's for a sit down and a coffee went to do some shopping. While shopping we felt some dizziness and headaches coming on.
We did then go up to the hospital just to get checked out. We were told to take nurofen and then sent on our way.

Cheers guys.
My insurance have more or less stated it was the other vehicles fault and waivered the 1st ?100 fee.
Car should get sorted pretty quick. I've put in a claim for whiplash injuries also, but we'll see what happens with that as I foolishly came into work today and I'm not 100%. Although the Mrs has taken tonight off work.
Gotta go Doc's again.and get some more notes on record.
Oh and the bab is fine. No sign of any effects.

Hit from the rear, especially in your case it will be the other drivers fault. Get yourself checked out by the doctors properly and ensure you get the injuries documented!!! I cannot stress that enough, whilst you are still in shock you will not feel the whiplash, even for up to a week. The mental effects are harder to prove but they will come and will nag you - I still feel sick driving in bad conditions after a big smash 2.5 years ago where I spun on black ice and hit a stationary fire truck at 50mph.

Cars can be replaced - people can't!! Glad from the sound of it that it wasn't that bad!
