I live a busy life; I'm here, I'm there, I'm
filming this, post-producing that, motion
graphic'ing this, that, and the other, etc. -
'I'm bloody vital, me' [(C) Matt Malone,
'Game On' BBC2] - so I forget many things; or, I'm
simply getting old, and all that white cider
and homebrewed Bacchus I swallowed during the
formative years is finally beginning to take its
cognitive toll
One of those things, is what thread the chat
about Cymru AOR-ists Kooga originated. I can't
even remember who sent me their mp3s ('Glamster'
Ian?)
Anyway, my quip about the keyboard player and
bassist eloping together has been addressed. I've
just replied to an email from synth-botherer,
Neil, saying that, they were simply sacked.
Nice email, actually, from a nice bloke.
God bless the InterWeb. You can't sneeze
on it nowadays without attracting relevant
attention. Great for me, crap for over-paid
researchers.
Neil has apparently mp3'ed Kooga's 'Across
The Water' LP (for anyone interested). I
recommend it, because I think it (still)
sounds pretty good.

Oops & yes Daz it was me - got the mp3's off a mate. It was one on the old albums I never got round to converting myself.

I knew it was you, I think. I obsessively drain
my Yahoo mail incase something Big is pending (which
there never is), so I couldn't verify things.

Kooga were a truly excellent band!! I've seen them live at the Marquee (87/88) SOOO many times. Neville was such a great vocalist and the songs were so good, and so unique in their own simple way.
Myke Gray (anybody knows what happened to him?!) tried so hard - bless his sweet heart! - to get me to join them, and I did have a jam with them once but they were on the verge of splitting up and it never happened. Then HE put a band (Skin) together with Neville!!!

Both Jagged Edge and Skin were good in my books.
Not sure what Myke did after Skin. I know he played with Bruce Dickinson (ooer, missus!) but I'm not sure if that was before or after Skin.

Not sure about Neville, but I know Grey went on to
be the guitarist in some (mentioned a few times here,
if memory serves me right) female-lead rock band.
Grey was/is unrecognisably shaven-headed now.
I think Grey went through that - 'It's falling out,
so let's strategically shave it into a mohawk until
Mistress Time demands otherwise, and after which
we'll re-assess things. Re-assessing things, I've
now decided, it's best to just shave the whole lot
whilst still maintaining a modicum of pride.'

Is the track don't break my heart (or something like that) there... if so I would love to get these via a trade... I've got loads of Glam/AOR DVDs if anyone would like to trade for this?
cheers
