I saw someone on TV wearing a Rush T-shirt
tonight and realised I've been meaning to
listening to some for ages. Where should I
start? I'd use Limewire but the Firewall I'm
currently behind won't allow it to connect.
Chrs,
D.

I'd start with either Permanent Waves or Signals, they're both quite accessible.

Cheers guys! All I remember hearing was 'Spirit
of Radio'. I did surf around a few Rush sites
before annoying GNet, but there's hardly anything
out, not even on the official page... There's
'Rush Radio', but it's pretty wank really.
I've just moved, so no broadband at home; and
with uni machines, it's lock-down heaven, of course,
so any mp3s sent to the ol' Yahoo cobblers,
is appreciated.
If you're reading Marky: you should have received
the Ratpack CD mp3s by now.

Cant say id ever have lumped Floyd in with Rush, unless you mean it requires you to actually get involved with it by listen rather than humming along with a nursery rhyme.
I was watching some Floyd doc recently and they were so incedibly ahead of their time. Not a big progger me, but just sublime stuff. Roger waters showing how he came up with the riff for Money.
Completely Robert Johnson Blues just in 5/2 time.
Its just unfortunete that they all come over like the smart arse public school boys they are.
Then again if my music had made me 100 million, Id be a smart arse too. Er, more of a smart arse I mean to say.
