Lo.

Anyone interested in trading CDs via
mp3? I've got quite a bit of fast server
space dotted around the Web, if anyone's
interested.

I'm not on the look out for anything
particularly rare, just the usual late-80s
cobblers that needs updating from tape, or
was pinched when during the lame burgulary
of '92.

E.g., got an urge for the first Quireboys
CD ('..Fancy') the other day, but couldn't
find the tape. There's wasn't much on the
Web, so ended up paying ?16/$23 for it,
which is a bit shit really, except that
it is the Fancy/Bitter 2x issue with demos
and things, so it was kind of worth it.

Nice idea. I've been gradually getting copies of some of my old faves burnt, and rip all my cd's onto my hard drive. Unfortunately I'm on dial-up, so uploading/downloading isn't really feasible for me. Hope you get some offers though.

- scan the artwork
- zip up in neat little folder
- ftp
end.

Cool.

Spoke to Andii yesterday, and his
new PC arrives soon, so that'll
hopefully spur things along. For the
time being at least, I have unlimited
webspace on our uni's (7000kpbs down-
load speed) server, so that'll help things.

I'll post my glam/sleaze/rock CD list in
a couple of days, just to get the ball
rolling.

...individual CDs zipped up, of course,
with the artwork scanned in and jpegged
etc.

If there's going to be minimal interest
to this here (because people haven't the
equipment and/or skills or simply a fast
connection to get involved), then it's
probably better if things are done via email.

Then that 'person' obviously has a life,
and that just won't do at all. I suggest
that 'person' - whoever they may be [img]wink.gif[/img] -
immediately puts his - or her! - life
on hold for the sake of hours and hours
of mindless pursuit - i.e. mp3ing stuff. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Whatever happens, happens, I suppose.
