I heard of them back in the day, but dunno what happened to them, and never owned any of their material. Weren't they a kinda Dogs D'Amour, Quireboys-type scruffy bluesy bunch? lol
No not talkin 'bout A Katt Named Ragz But a UK band that used to play up and down the country. They seemed to just disappear and wondered if anyone heard of them at all? I have their album and some demo's.

I frigging LOVED Rich Ragz. I have demoz and the Psycho Deadheads CD here.
Great band, saw them loads of times. Much more punky live than on record. From Hull, as I recall.
The bass player went on to Last Great Dreamers, don't know where the others went.
Yeah didn't they also get shit from Sega for their song `Suicide By Megadrive` that they ended up changing the song to `Suicide By Technodrive` although while playing this song live they used the original title.

Whilst living in beleaguered ol' Wales, I, too,
saw Rich Rags many times - the best time was when
they supported The Wildhearts at Bogiez, Cardiff:
Rich Rags performed an amazing ('Deadheads era)
set; The Wildhearts, on the other hand, were a
bunch of petulant children... They insisted on
over-powering the club's pre-amps; short-fused
them at least once per song, and, by the forth
time - i.e. the forth song - got fed up and
stormed off stage.
Interestingly, I'm currently based in Hull, but
no one remember's Ian Hunter and co. Equally,
no one knows what they're currently up to.
Post-Rags, Angel, of course, joined the Last
Great Dreamers; Jon and Rich Rags drummer -
eventually - formed a band called Sugarkill.
One of Sugarkill's gigs got a decent write-up
in Kerrang!, but nonetheless, Sugarkill quickly
disappeared without a trace.
Rich Rags produced about 5 demos. I have them all.
Rich Rags used to record their demos in a studio
owned/engineered by a blind man - his ears, pre-
sumably, compensating for the lack of vision.
Whatever the case, it worked. I even phoned this
blind man, myself, once, and his rates, as it
goes, were pretty decent.
Rich Rags were dropped from Warhammer for various
reasons, but the essential reasons were (1) they
only signed a one album deal, and (2) 'Deadheads
didn't sell that well - primarily because, part
of that one album deal required Rich Rags to
acquiesce to Warhammer's insistance that
Warhammer's Dungeon-and-Dragons geeks illustrate
their album artwork - which, as it transpired,
was very geekish, and didn't reflect the band's
trashy persona one little bit. Warhammer's - eh -
budgetary-challenged distribution department didn't
help matters much either. Then again, Dan Reed
Network suffered the same fate.
Pitchshifter's (degree edumacated) Jon's online
journal aside, Ian's contribution to Rich Rags'
'Slags' fanzine still remains the pinnacle of
rock-band-on-the-road reflective journalism.
Alas, not much has changed since Ian's day (circa
'91, and apropos the UK toilet circuit).

And it's 'Rags' not 'Ragz'. Grow up.
It's one thing tarting up the inner-sleeve of a
CD with grammatical Z-predicated neologisms,
but, anybody approaching/or past the age of 30,
and still substituting Ss for Zs needs
psychriatic advice.
