Anyone know if this band is officially done ? Last I heard, they were performing locally in Florida as Mojo Gurus and hardly doing anything resembling old Roxxgang. I remember also hearing something about a live cd coming out on Perris, but nothing in about a year or so. Loved the old stuff though.

Hi, big fan of old Roxx Gang stuff here too. The site www.roxxgang.com is still there but the band is on hiatus and only exists as Mojo Gurus now. I haven't checked their site www.mojogurus.com lateley or unofficial site www.mojogurus.net but I suppose they are still alive. I don't know about this old idea of releasing a live but Perris Records announced some weeks ago they are gonna release a Roxx Gang CD-box set... Together with first album of L.A. Guns, First of Roxx Gang is among the best of Dark Glam Sleazy Metal in my list! Used to be good friend of Kevin but haven't had much contact with him since he lied to me about Stacey Blades...

I only enjoyed the first disc.
    Definetly a classic.
The other releases gave me no joy.

    ROXX GANG is KAPUT...No MORE.
It is now MOJO GURUS and that's it.
I've also heard that KEVIN was to do an Acoustic CD but that was like a year and a half ago since I heard that....Nothing yet...so probably scraped the idea to do so.

that certainly does suck. I just picked up Roxx Gang on vinyl and it's pure class. No Easy Way Out is an absolute classic!

I've just watched - online, of course - the 'No
Easy Way Out' video for the second time in my life.
The first time, was hundreds of years ago, at So-
and-so's house. 'Things...' hadn't sold as well,
and So-and-so, quite rightly, said: 'If this can't
make it, what hope do we have?' So-and-so was right
for many reasons: 'No Easy..' is a great song, with
its reverse reverbed hooky chorus, white-walled
video and bleach and leather a-go-go. In hindsight,
Steele's Cher-like perm is awful, and the lyrics
are worse. However, there's nothing about to suggest
that it wouldn't work - unless, of course, the band
    were, globally, criminally under-promoted (think
    Dan Reed Network).

Post-'Things...' Steele steered the band into the
murky waters of blues/rock. A crap move, producing
crap CDs. Roxx Gang are probably too old, now, to
get away with a return to a circa' 'Things...' form,
but give me their attempt to try, over an attempt
to perpetuate whatever the hell it is that Mojo
Gurus (same-ish logo, same singer, worse music)
    is.

    Mojo Gurus' website reads:
'The band features the songwriting of singer
Kevin Steele (who's eclectic influences and witty
lyrics have earned him comparisons to a young Bob
    Dylan).'

    "Who's"?

    'Witty'?

    'Bob Dylan'?

    Fuck off!

    Pfffffffeee!!!!!!!!

No Easy Way Out is probably the best glam metal song ever written... Only the video is a little bit weak... I prefer the video for Scratch My Back but No Easy Way Out is the song!
