The night chased away the day.
I watched the sun
Pull it's remaining strains of light
off into the horizon.
The dark blue ocean above,
with the white cap ripples of clouds,
Gave way to the slate grey ceiling,
And macabre scenes of the filfth of society.
Illuminating the ground for those,
who rape, murder and humiliate others.
The dreary lighting of a clouded moon,
Inspiring nothing but thoughts of solitude.
Lost in a forest lacking color,
midnight passes with a shudder of cold.
The soft wattage glow of a desk lamp,
the dull scratch of an ink pen falling on paper,
The hum of machines working within the walls,
There is no such thing as silence here.
The night holds it's secrets well.

I really liked this one. Your language is really strong and flows well. Better than in some of your other poems. Your lines are all strong, and the imagery is good. I think I might like to see more connection between "The night holds it's secrets well." and the rest of the poem. Either that, or end on the line before it. This line is so vague. DOes it hold the secrets of the other you spoke about briefly? or does it hold the secrets of what you're writing on the page? If both, maybe elaborate on the connection more. Overall, a strong piece tho IMO.
