his arm i did
let smooth my back
and lie so harmlessly
comsuming my waist
as i could not feel the guilt
of which i should
but i did not feel the shame
i otherwise would
because in my mind
i felt you on her
and not me
so this is me
on him
and not you

eh...i dont mean to be a dick or anything...but i think you should try expanding your poetry to more than just he-she type deals where all they deal with are relationships or how a guy hurt a girl, or vice-versa....poetry is everythin...dont limit yourself to just one topic

I agree but also disagree....see, look at my writing...it's so so centered right now...so why can't hers be? It's weird to say this, but I know where she is coming from....I am in the opposite role she is...and I can vouch for her in that it's harder than hell to write or think about anything else...when memories ..or something tragic in life happens pounds inside your head so hard....i mean, at times, i wish I could write differently, but then I don't want to...writing is all I have left of her...and it's the only beauty I have between us...the last strand so to speak...the only way I can talk to her...it's a release..but also a way out....
so...
I like this....and it's hard to say that...because when I read it....it hurt me.

well ranter...i feel EXACTLY how machinery put it. writing about this kind of topic is a release. i have so much anger inside of me and writing about it helps so much to let the anger go. but i do understand that i should write about other topics as well. so thanks for your input ranter, and thanks for understanding, machinery.

I like the flow of the poem.
As for topic varitey, I believe in the theory, but I also tend to spend time focused on one topic. Poetry is more release for me than anything else.

I agree w/machinery that while it is good to expand, there are times when no matter what you think about, it always seems to come back to what is really on your mind. I liked the poem too.
