I am mearly a child,
Who endears what life throws my way,
Not afraid of anything with an indulgance in the painfull,
Whatever happened to simplicity,
And the lack of confusion,
When good was good, and not nice,
And great was straight, and not a corner.
There's too many words confusing my sight,
So instead of burning them, I close them tight.
My simple childish mind, working it's simple childish ways,
Will get me no where, at least not today.

I really like this poem. I can relate to it. So many times we go through problems not prepared to face them.
At this moment I'm going through such a problem...one of growing pains. *sigh* I really enjoy all the meanings in this poem.

interesting thoughts... i never saw this one coming out of you. it seemed different. the addition of rhyme at the end along with the description of childish mind/ways fit together.
it still doesn't seem complete though.
