    Unhappy

Red fingers reaching into the fledgling eve,
    Eyes, and lenses, and dreams,
    Focusing, readjusting the sensetive touch.
    Watching, Observing,
From my seated position on the cool evening lawn,
Full green grass lightly carressing my bare calves,
staining, absorbing into my, khaki shorts.
My eyes finding their way in between the red, pink, purple, blue fingers,
Reaching, grasping, holding me in awe,
The freedom of ones mind, blooming in their grasp.

Small bodies blowing about in the wind,
Their green lifelines hanging strong from the brown parents that hold them.
    Tall creatures surrounding me,
    Without means of harm.
Even then, they reach, to be held, tightly,
As the fingers release them, the blow,
    Wanting more, but waiting politely.

Red fingers, blue fingers, purple fingers, pink fingers,
Strong fingers, weak fingers, faint fingers, subtle fingers.
Real fingers, fake fingers, tree fingers, sky fingers,

Forward I observe in the strength of them,
    Those red, pink, fading fingers,
    Retracting from the world,
    Giving way to the irridescent,
    Silver eye,
    Watching all,

    This beautifull gift of sunset,
Giving way to a beautifull view of the moon,
Through the crowded trees that surround me on this trip.
