i like this a lot, concise, and i loved these last lines:

isn't it kind of bittersweet that even the darkness needs the light?

Sarafina - i wondered if anyone would catch that - that darkness needs the light... that was my whole image, kinda "good needs bad, bad needs good" type thing.

Water under a dock is a good visual dude!
I imagined a big pole on a long lonely stretch of beach when i was writing this one, i dont know why, i just did. I imagined this gigantic pole, and the sun playing games, trying to catch the shadow that was hiding behind the pole...
supporting what? I have no idea, i dont remember what I was dreaming the pole was supporting.
