but back to the topic... there HAS to be times
when, especially with cell phones, someone calls
your number and you seriously don't know who
it is. telemarketers etc usually have a conspicuously
'hidden' number when calling phones with caller
ID... so usually a telemarketer is obvious.
however i never get telemarketers on my cell...

as for me... i think it depends on my mood.
i have been known to call an unknown number
back... if i feel feisty enough to take the
effort. otherwise... i don't care.

Well I don't get hardly any telemarketer calls at all anymore. Not since I registered at the "national do not call" website.

A few weeks ago, I had the bullshit call of the guy calling saying "it's Christmas time, would you like to donate to the American cop foundation" some kinda name bullshit like that. You know the one I'm talking about. The one where they tell you proceeds go to the families of cops killed in the line of duty. I THINK, these calls need to be considered telemarketer calls too and if you sign up like I did on the do not call list, these people should not be allowed to call you. It's all bullshit anyway.

Anyway back to the topic, calls like this always show up on my caller ID as either,
"unknown caller" OR
"out of Area"

I'm about to stop answering these calls all together when I see them on my caller id. That's also where my answering machine comes in handy. I LOVE screening my calls.

I think it looks desperate when people call back and no message was left...and it's always uncomfortable...like say I dial a wrong #...well more often than not I get some idiot calling me...I say, "Hello"...they go..."Who's this"...and I'm like..."Who's this motherfucker! You called me."...and they're like..."Yo man, I saw this number on my ID"...and then I challenge them to a fight with knives...
