HYPOCRISY ABOUNDS!!!!
#1 -- abortion isn't illegal
#2 -- anti-abortionists have killed (and
respectively suggest the deaths) of
doctors that provide abortions...
#3 -- abortion isn't illegal
#4 -- doctors that provide abortions request
sanctuary from the justice system because
they 'fear for their lives' against anti-abortionists
#5 -- abortion isn't illegal
#6 -- anti-abortionists demand that doctors
providing abortions be brought to trial on
charges of 'crimes against humanity'
#7 -- abortion isn't illegal
#8 -- the two, anti-abortionists and doctors
that provide abortions, go head-to-head in
a political battle
#9 -- abortion isn't illegal
#10 -- the supreme court requests the (already
admitted anti-abortion) bush administrations
views on the subject....
i can't wait....

I HATE the fact that so many anti abortion people (most powerful, GW BUSH, Catholic church) are so FUCKING RIGHTEOUS as to believe that their narrow view on life, on humanity, on human rights must be imposed on all. Just because THEY think that abortion is wrong, that it must BE WRONG FOR EVERYONE. these people/institutions have these absolutes and one of them is ABORTION IS WRONG. There are so many grey areas on this issue. there are SOOOOO many instances (in my mind) where abortion is preferable to having the baby.
1. health reasons. if the mother's life was in danger - but even then, the RCatholic church sees abortion as wrong if the child has a chance of living even if the mother doesn't (the RC church only permits abortions in the instance of ectopic preggies where both mother and child would die).
2. being raped. i would not like the idea of raising the child of the person who raped me. and it would have devastating psychological effect on child (if it were to know)
3. economical reasons. if you're too poor to provide basic necessities (i'm not talking about the private school education fees, i'm talking if you don't even have a roof over your head).
I believe anyone should have the choice to abortions and i believe abortion doctors should not have to wear bullet proof vests to work, etc.
it makes me FUCKING SICK to hear of self professed pro - life supporters gunning down and killing doctors doing their job.
- END SERMON -

somewhat recently in Melbourne, a security guard at an abortion clinic was gunned and killed. is this not hypocrisy?? rather, i think they should be targetting drug dealers if anyone at all.

ya know... you bring up (yet another) scary
thought, SF....
if a mother was having a baby and her life was
in danger... it is OK if she dies as long as the
baby's life is spared.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
i can't even put into *legitimate, non-cursing*
words how bad i can't stand that idea. what kind
of sick, cruel, and twisted muther fu..... ooops
i caught myself, does one have to be????
it is ironic to me that the mother, in that
scenario, is nothing more than an incubator...
and that, somehow, the people that she (the mother)
knew and evolved with... will just accept the
fact that she must die as long as the baby lives.
talk about your skewed thinking.
i could go on... but i fear that i will be on
this thread a bit longer than i should.
