The atheist network board. There's a web site at www.atheistnetwork.com . From there, they have links to their radios shows, msg board and other snazzy things.

Well, they offer a great enviroment for people stuck between "I don't believe this shit" and "what the heck else there". I'm not an active poster there, but I listen to The Infidel Guy's show still.
Organized...well there are some factions in that community. I call them Fundie Atheists, and Angry Atheists. Their the ones that use it as a way to pick on people for believing in god. Other people use it appropriately (IMO) for getting to know other atheists.
When I became more interested in philosophy, rather, pursuing my existing interest in philosophy, my interest hanging out there lessened. And since the community was there when I needed them, I don't dig on them too badly. I'm happy they're out there doing their thing, offering an alternative belief than conventional theism. second generation atheists....
most people assume that this terminology suggests
a second generation (genealogy) of a family of
atheists....
but it really signifies the more 'active' atheists.
(as opposed to the first generation which is more
passive)
i think i fall somewhere in between

Although I think the AN is a great community. I think they (the main members) aren't open to new ideas, or philosophical explorations which threaten their atheistic conventions. I think, "where the F you get off having conventions as an atheist anyway?"
To suggest an atheist is behaving irrationally, or even to question logic itself among some of the community is like diving into a pool of venom. Then there are the others, the admins, show hosts, and few other posters who are are open-minded as a New York Jew (elry Dealer) dating a black chick from cali. I like thems.

hmmmm... it does bother me that in being one...
you get the arrogancy in thinking you are
sacrificing the other... when in fact you aren't.
if you avoid all inquiry (even into yourself)
then you are no better (nor different) than the
institution you supposedly oppose.
i think we all know this.
i enjoy reading elements such as you have provided,
omar. it helps me relieve tension and expand my
viewpionts.
