As for the Lightning....you are right. They are meant to impress other guys. At a passing glance (most driving situations) I doubt most drivers would even be able to tell a regular Lightning (with the old F-150 body style) from any of the other normal ford trucks.....

now.... i understand that most vehicles of this
sort are not intended to 'wow' the typical female.
we ALL know that vehicles like this are really
meant to 'wow' fellow members of the same sex...
but yet, for some reason, the justification is
that 'chicks will dig it'.... when the hard
truth is.... we really don't.

now i'm not talking specifically about that vehicle,
but most things that are justified in that manner.

i, for one, think that truck looks like a fucking
little tykes toy... all bulbous and out of
proportion.

personally, i prefer a little more class... in
regards to sleek styling... not ghetto/south
hampton appeal. sorry... but there is nothing
wrong with a tailored look. that vehicle simply
doesn't have it.
