infomercials???

i fucking love them... i could watch them
all day... and i'm such a victim to them...
i love to see all the user comments and
various ways the product attempts to
receive some credibility.

i love fabulous once-in-a-lifetime timeshare
options to beautiful european locations and
cheap plastic objects that inject raw garlic
into meat prior to cooking.

i love expensive makeup that has the ability
to hide those common imperfections with the
fact that its so easy to blend.

i love ridiculous circus props designed to
shed those unwanted fat cells around your
ass and thighs while giving you a complete
workout in just 3 minutes a day.

i love fabulous cutlery that can saw through
a steel-toed shoe and still be sharp enough
to slice a tomato without bruising the skin.

i love the opportunity to make millions from
your own home by investing a small amount
up-front and putting ads in your local newspaper.

i love small countertop appliances that can
fold bread into various ways to create
wonderful portable meals of stuffed pastries.

i love all that shit.... and so much more...
i just love infomercials.... [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Shatzy sweetie, you ever consider switching the channel or channel surfing? *L

I'm not knocking ya now. Don't get me wrong. If you are into infomercials, that's great. I just don't understand it. Myself, I HATE them!

They clog my cable channel at 4 in the morning and that's all that's on, especially on the weekdays.
I have a certain tolerance to listen to someone go on and on and on nonstop about a certain topic for too long. I dunno, blame it on my short attention span they just bore the shit outta me.

Plus, I'm just the type that's not too trusting. I think there has to be a catch to everything. Nothing can be that damn good and not have some allergic reaction or hair falling out catch to it.

The only imfomercial I ever trully enjoyed was the one for pinile enhancement hosted by Ron Jeremy(sp?) He brought out a bunch of other has-been male porn stars that talked about the miaricle of this drug. Like you can have a small pecker and be in pornos riiiiiiiight

I laughed my ass off on that one.

I do admit a fondness for the rcord collection infomercials though especially the ones from when I was a teen. I love to remember when. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

i'm going ot have to agree with shatzy....infomercials rule!!!!

i could watch them all the time, in fact, the "i love cheap plastic objects that inject garlic in to the center of meat" was on just the other day....AND I WATCHED IT!!!...it was from Ronco...who i think now has more patents than Thomas Edison simply because of the large number of products he sells.

But not only was it garlic, you could put pine nuts, rosemary and any other thing with a radius smaller than a quarter....

i don't know if you've actually watched that one or not, but when they cut open the pork loin, and all this steaming chunk of red and green stuff falls out....it just doesn't look good to me.

anyways....Home Shopping network and any of the others like it are also great to watch...especially when they are selling knives....

This is a great movie clip <---Link

Heh, they show those here at night, as fillers. Infomercials, amazing discoveries, tell sell, they have sort of a cult status, because you come home, and you just watch those for an hour or more, just cause it's on.

It's hard NOT to watch..

At the moment, I have miraculously been able to get to sleep at reasonable hours, but when I used to fall asleep at like 1 - 2am, it would go as follows:

Watch re-runs of Dark Angel, David Letterman, and then after that, I can watch infomercials...

And if I wait long enough, I can watch NBC Today and find out what the fudge is going on over there!
