although i'll admit that i am unaware of your age, janks...
for the longest time i felt like i was the
only 20-something that listened to VU because
of something more than a flash-back trend.
this is an unfortunate side effect (and handicap).


one of the most articulate descriptions i have
ever read (online ) of the (VU) hypothetical comes as this:

...yep...it is.

i've tried to muffle that taste o' garden for years...

best r.e.m. album: its a toss up between murmur, fables, and (naturally) eponymous.

speaking of moods and r.e.m.-- i have the
strangest urge to argue that anything past
green shoulda just been lumped into
a big box set and labeled "shit"...

Yeah. Your probably right about that. I thought Reckoning and Murmur were good records. I call them "Records" b/c I had Reconstuction of the Fables on turn-table. That was R.E.M.'s drop off point.
