Winona allegedly claimed she was preparing for some future script project by "pretending" to shoplift. Now she may get to prepare for Prison Babes VVVIII.
It really is getting competitive out there to be an actor or actress.

I wonder how many items she has "collected" and then sold on e-bay.

a very interesting point was made on a local radio station.
Winona Ryder was offered a chance to plea bargain this case. Her attorney refused. She lost the trial. Now she may end up getting the same sentence she would have gotten if she had agreed to the plea bargain.
In other words, there was no risk to her for going to trial. If she wins, she wins big time, if she loses, as she did, her sentence is no harsher then if she had accepted the original plea bargain.
What a mockery of the criminal justice system.
