i'm into the nose piercing and also not into being hypocritical, but the gypsy's not intot he nose piercing at all.
i've had mine pierced for 19 years, and because of the Hindu thing, not because i wanna jump on the trendy bandwagon...
*shrugs* it'll be interesting to see what auntie faerie's input is here.

you mean your birthday this year?!?
hmm...well, I think that's an obvious piercing- you can't really hide from it, and if a lawyer is what you want to be, you may want to rethink that one. certain careers require different uniforms, and lawyers/judges most certainly hold up to that standard more than most. Its the problem with doing stuff that is obvious at this age, because it could really mess up your stuff later on... does that make sense? Yes, you could take it out for court. And with your mom, you don't always notice it, but some people scar more than others, depending how you take care of it, how your body heals, etc. If you were my kid, I'd make you wait until you were 18. Have a few years to roll it over in your head and see what you really want. But that's if you were mine. (does the gypsy just love me now? )

Let me put it this way, at 15 I loved New Kids on the Block. Loved em. By 17 I thought they were completely useles...
If allowed to, I probably would have gotten a tatoo of that horrid band... and i would have soooo had it removed by now!!!
So, just be careful about what you do to your body at this age...

ahh, then its not such a big deal to wait a few more years, right? (I know, it seems like forever and that everyone is just being mean, or doesn't understand. But we do, which is why we say, you know, you may change your mind in a couple of years...) Its not such a long time to wait...
What was the final answer from mom and the gypsy about the nose piercing?

truthfully, i am too lazy to read all that, these fonts kill my eyeballs
and so i just skimmed through.
i can barely tolerate re-reading what i've posted.
what i caught was something about tattoos and a nose ring, and the birthday coming up.
seriously, though.
not sure what bizzlebody's trying to do here, but my rule has ALWAYS
been that when she is 18, she basically has the freedom to do what she wants
regarding that stuff, though i hope she will respect me/my take
on whatever the subject may be, to at least consider my feelings
and opinions there.
i also don't think something like a tiny nosepin would neccessarily
prevent you from becoming a lawyer, however i also don't think
it's really neccessary to sport one if you are serious about law school.
that, in turn, brings me to the fact that i don't particularly
believe someone's so serious about law school.
in fact, the little hobo has had that mindset for years, and just very well may be serious.
the older hobo, not so much.
