I was gonna say, I think I'm w/Becky on this one. I've notice this board has always been pro-prosecutor. If I didn't know any better, I'd guess you all hang out with Joe Deters on the weekend.

Well you know, there are two sides to every story. And there are a lot of questions that need answering, like- what was she wearing? How do we know she didn't have it coming to her? And so on....


OK all kidding aside (and no, I'm not joking about the situation, I'm just trying to be funny here), I read GL's post before Becky's and at first I had to laugh, and then it dawned on me how he's right, and then it hit me how sad and pathetic that is. And I know we're supposed to be tolerant and understanding and respectful of peoples' beliefs......well, nonsense. If I "believed" that the Lord told me to go hijack a school bus today, I would hope that the S.W.A.T. team wouldn't respect my beliefs and let me get away with it.

As for the story itself of the mom...I think the pregnancy adds another dimension to it, but I was involved in several cases where you would have the boyfriend fooling around with the girlfriend's kids, with mom's knowledge and even blessing over it...and you do, you sit there and say, how in the world can this happen? Fortunately none of the cases I was involved in had the girl getting pregnant, but I can't say I'm surprised at this story.

What makes it even worse is they had to rule out two other guys on the DNA test!
